Gander: Canada's NEW Social Media Channel Launching 2026

If you like trying out new things, there is an interesting opportunity coming up that will allow you to test a new Canadian social media channel that is launching early next year. Gander is built in Canada by Canadians, and the platform is based on ethical media practices and emphasizes satisfying Canadian's unfulfilled desire for personal privacy. It is clear from their company mission that the creators of Gander value privacy and transparency, particularly related to how system data is managed and protected. Unlike other social media platforms, Gander plans to host their platform on Canadian servers, keeping the data within the social media channel protected by Canadian privacy laws.

More About Gander’s Social Media Platform 

The Gander system allows you to create a “nest” of the people you are close to, which allows you to get updates on the people in your inner circle. The company is currently working on preparing for their soft launch, which will mark the start of their Beta testing phase.  If you are accepted as a Beta tester, you will soon be given the opportunity to create your personalized login and set up your Gander profile (which is a prime opportunity for you to get a username that is your own name).

Testing Canada’s NEW Social Media Channel  

With social boards that are modelled after a community bulletin board, this new social media platform is shaping up to be a locally sourced alternative to US based social media platforms. If you are interested in getting involved in the early development of this system, I recommend signing up for early access to participate in their beta test. Once the application moves into closed beta testing, early adopters selected to participate will be given the exciting opportunity to be the first to create their username and test the Gander platform.
